Surf House Helsinki is an authentic surf-themed beach club that operates as a beach bar and restaurant, hosts various kinds of events. At the heart of our venue is an artificial surfing wave, FlowRider Double.

We are searching for VENUE OPERATORS, who enjoy customer service and creating unique experiences.

VENUE OPERATORS work as part of the operational team at Surf House Helsinki, with responsibilities focused on the bartending, hosting events, and customer service. During the onboarding phase operators receive training for indoor surfing and later they are conducting surf sessions as well.

Applicants MUST have:

  • Work experience from the restaurant industry
  • Ability to use common cash register systems
  • Desire to learn indoor surfing
  • Serving license (Anniskelupassi)
  • Good English language skills
  • Proactive and energetic attitude
  • Smooth communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Possibility to work evenings and weekends

Applicants MIGHT ALSO have:

  • Work experience from events or festivals
  • Background in boardsports (e.g., skateboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, or snowboarding)

The employment is full-time, 112.5 hours per 3 weeks. The probationary period is 6 months. Please note that working hours are mainly in the afternoons, evenings and weekends.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE

We are looking for trainees from various fields: Marketing, Sales, Content and Event production, Restaurant operations, Event hosting etc..

You get involved in daily operations of our unique Surf House concept and in addition to your actual training you learn how to surf! This is a great opportunity for new talents who has the desire to learn new skills and be part of the coolest venue in Helsinki.

We require you to have

  • Fluent English language skills
  • Genuine interest to entertainment concepts and desire to learn
  • Team spirit and good attitude
  • Good social skills
  • Expertise from your study field; no matter if its F&B, events, marketing, sales or social media related.

The start of the internship is flexible and the duration is preferably minimum of 3 months. We pay a small fee for the internship, which does not affect your student support.
